An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a talented Dispute Resolution Lawyer to join this expanding offshore law firm in their Cayman Islands office. This is a mid-sized offshore law firm in Cayman that you would certainly have the ability to impress and build a long term future with.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with 5–8 years' post-qualification experience who is looking to work on complex and high-value disputes in the offshore legal market while enjoying a genuine long-term career path.
The firm's Dispute Resolution team is experiencing sustained growth and is looking to appoint an ambitious, driven associate who can develop into a future senior associate with the firm. You'll work closely with an experienced partnership on sophisticated cross-border disputes, insolvency and restructuring matters, shareholder disputes, fraud and asset recovery, and other high-profile commercial litigation matters.
The Opportunity
- You will support and advise on complex, high-value commercial disputes with an international client base.
- Gain significant exposure to offshore insolvency and restructuring matters.
- Work directly alongside an experienced and approachable partnership within a growing team.
- Enjoy excellent levels of responsibility, client exposure and hands-on involvement from day one.
About You
- To be considered for this opportunity you must be admitted in Cayman or another recognised commonwealth jurisdiction such as New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, Wales, England and Scotland and have 5-8 years post qualification experience.
- Strong commercial litigation and dispute resolution experience are essential. Insolvency and restructuring experience would be highly advantageous.
- Strong academic history and career longevity at highly regarded law firms is also essential.
A competitive salary US$170,000–US$200,000 dependent on experience is on offer and a comprehensive relocation package, if required. Good levels of flexibility is also on offer with this firm.
