Job Description

Our client, a well-established and highly regarded law firm, is recruiting an experienced Corporate Paralegal to exclusively join their growing corporate team in Grand Cayman

As a Corporate Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting the corporate team in various legal matters. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced legal environment and to progress and develop your knowledge and career in corporate law.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year’s previous Corporate Paralegal experience. Our client seeks someone with working knowledge and understanding of corporate documents who will be able to hit the ground running. As well as a well-organized person who has strong attention to detail and an excellent work ethos.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, amending, and reviewing legal documents related to corporate transactions.
  • Conducting due diligence reviews and assist with corporate filings and compliance matters.
  • Coordinate and assist with setting up new companies, mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
  • Maintain corporate records, including minute books, resolutions, and shareholder communications.
  • Assist in the preparation of board meetings and other corporate meetings, including drafting agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Research and remain updated on corporate law developments, regulations, and best practices.
  • Provide support for general corporate matters and special projects as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in law and/or paralegal certification.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience working as a corporate paralegal.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law principles and practices.
  • Experience with corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and corporate governance.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members.
