Our client, a dynamic financial institution, has a career opportunity for an experienced lending professional with a proven track record with loans and lending to join their expanding team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee all aspects of Credit Service operations, including loan origination and personnel supervision.
- Develop and review Credit Risk strategies, policies, and procedures to align with strategic goals.
- Ensure timely achievement of strategic and Credit Risk goals.
- Provide regular updates, drive departmental vision, and initiate new initiatives.
- Ensure efficient processing of loan applications.
- Conduct detailed financial analyses and set credit risk controls.
- Implement recommendations from Compliance and Internal Audit reviews.
- Periodically review credit processes and management.
- Collaborate with senior management to direct the department cohesively.
- Authorise transactions and oversee underwriting.
- Maintain relationships with external stakeholders and suppliers.
- Implement new programs and projects for operational improvement.
- Provide leadership, training, and supervision to Credit Service personnel.
- Ensure documentation and processes meet standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and track forward-looking credit risk metrics.
- Prepare monthly reports for Senior Management with statistical data and forecasts.
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of lending experience, with 5 years at a management level;
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or a business-related field is preferred;
- Have the ability to observe strict confidentiality to bring integrity/impartiality to all tasks; whilst providing oversight for the Credit Risk Department.
- Strategic management skills;

- Strong troubleshooting & problem-solving;
- Ability to assess operational products & services and fiscal needs;
- Sound decision-making skills;
- Detailed-oriented;
- A thorough understanding of lending practices;
The opportunity offers a fixed salary in the range of $130,000 – $150,000 USD + annal bonus + other attractive benefits.
