Finance & Commercial Analyst – Cayman Islands
Location: Grand Cayman
Are you a newly or recently qualified practice-trained accountant looking for your first move into Industry, with both financial and commercial responsibilities? The Role
Reporting to the Vice President this person will support a broad range of activities, including financial reporting, transaction processing, compliance, and commercial operations. While the core of the role is finance-focused, you’ll also gain experience across commercial teams and with process improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance:
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Perform daily bank reconciliations
- Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts (accruals, inter-company, fees, etc.)
- Assist in quarterly reporting, SOX compliance, and year-end audits
- Support external auditors and internal control reviews
- Maintain accounting records for other offshore entities
- Prepare European Value-Added Tax returns
Commercial Support:
- Enter and verify daily sales/purchase and credit purchase invoices
- Support CRM and commercial data management
- Assist in tracking performance of streaming agreements
- Support contract pricing and delivery reconciliations
- Provide insights for commercial and sustainability teams
Strategic Projects:
- Opportunity to contribute to the company’s AI automation initiative by supporting process mapping and enhancement
- Potential to join the internal AI Committee
About You
- Qualified accountant (CPA, CA, ACCA, ACA) with 1–3 years PQE
- Experience in audit or public practice (Top 6 firm preferred)
- Understanding of SOX/internal controls and financial reporting in a public company environment
- Strong Excel and accounting system skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and analytical
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: CI$70,000–90,000
