Job Description

Advisory Restructuring & Insolvency (R&I) Associate – British Virgin Islands

An international professional services firm in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) is seeking a talented Advisory R&I Associate to join its growing team. This is a unique opportunity to elevate your career in corporate restructuring and insolvency while enjoying the incredible lifestyle of one of the world’s most beautiful island locations.

The Opportunity

You’ll work closely with senior management on a range of corporate insolvency, restructuring, and advisory engagements, supporting companies, lenders, creditors, and investors across multiple industries. Your work will involve helping clients protect, restore, and maximise value in complex or distressed financial situations — from local businesses to international funds.

This role offers exceptional career development within a global network of professionals, while giving you the chance to live and work in the Caribbean.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing a portfolio of insolvency and restructuring assignments under senior supervision.

  • Conduct detailed financial and operational analysis to support turnaround and restructuring plans.

  • Communicate professionally with clients, creditors, and stakeholders.

  • Prepare high-quality reports and deliverables with precision and attention to detail.

  • Review work for accuracy, consistency, and relevance.

  • Support business development and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Uphold the firm’s professional and ethical standards at all times.

About You

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in corporate insolvency, restructuring, or a related field within a professional services environment (financial services experience preferred).

  • Working toward or holding a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.

  • Collaborative, professional, and eager to grow your expertise.

Package & Benefits

This firm values and rewards its people — and offers an attractive compensation package designed to support both your professional success and your island lifestyle:

  • Up to 15% annual performance bonus eligibility.

  • $720 annual wellness bonus to support your health and wellbeing.

  • Spot bonuses available for exceptional work.

  • Flights from the UK included.

  • $1,200 relocation allowance (with receipts).

  • Hotel accommodation and car for 2 weeks upon arrival, plus introductions to local estate agents to help you settle in smoothly.

Why the British Virgin Islands?

The BVI offers more than just a career move — it’s a lifestyle upgrade. Picture working on high-profile international cases by day, and unwinding on world-class beaches by evening. With year-round sunshine, a close-knit professional community, and no personal income tax, it’s a rare chance to combine career growth with island living.
