An international professional services firm in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) is seeking a skilled and motivated Advisory R&I Senior Associate to join its expanding team. This role offers the rare combination of complex, high-value work and the chance to enjoy an enviable island lifestyle in one of the Caribbean’s most desirable locations.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Associate, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering corporate insolvency, restructuring, and advisory engagements, supporting companies, lenders, creditors, and investors through challenging financial circumstances. Working closely with senior management, you’ll lead key workstreams, liaise directly with clients and stakeholders, and help shape strategic solutions across a variety of industries, including financial services and funds.

This is a career-defining opportunity for professionals looking to build international experience while working with a global network of experts in a respected and high-performing advisory team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver restructuring and insolvency assignments, ensuring quality and timeliness.

  • Conduct detailed financial, operational, and strategic analysis for distressed or transitioning businesses.

  • Prepare high-quality reports and communications for clients, creditors, and regulators.

  • Identify issues, propose practical solutions, and drive progress on engagements.

  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering professional development.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and external stakeholders.

  • Contribute to internal initiatives to enhance efficiency and technical excellence.

  • Uphold the firm’s code of ethics and professional standards at all times.

About You

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in corporate insolvency, restructuring, or a related advisory discipline within a professional services firm.

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent); an INSOL Foundation Certificate or Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (CPI) is advantageous.

  • Strong knowledge of insolvency legislation and frameworks within a common law jurisdiction (cross-border experience is an asset).

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail.

  • Confident managing multiple client assignments and liaising directly with stakeholders.

  • Analytical thinker with sound judgment and a proactive approach.

  • Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changing situations.

Package & Benefits

This role comes with a competitive, tax-free compensation package and generous benefits designed to help you transition smoothly to island life:

  • Up to 25% annual performance bonus eligibility.

  • $720 annual wellness bonus to support health and wellbeing.

  • Spot bonuses available for exceptional contributions.

  • Flights from the UK provided.

  • $1,200 relocation allowance (with receipts).

  • Hotel accommodation and car for 2 weeks upon arrival, plus introductions to trusted local estate agents for apartment hunting.

Why the British Virgin Islands?

The BVI isn’t just a place to work — it’s a place to thrive. Enjoy a relaxed island lifestyle with world-class beaches, warm weather year-round, and an active professional community. It’s a truly unique chance to combine career growth with personal wellbeing in a dynamic offshore financial centre — all while paying no personal income tax.
