Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Officer to join an established organization in the Cayman Islands. Reporting to the Compliance Director you will develop and implement robust compliance strategies in line with the firm’s requirements. As a Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within the company. Your key duties will be to support in implementing policies and procedures, managing internal audits, and ensuring adherence to legal and industry standards. The right candidate will have a proven track record of managing compliance, attention to detail, and exceptional communication skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance.
  • Preparing internal due diligence forms, checklists, and risk assessments.
  • Reviewing client due diligence documentation & preparing reports for review.
  • Maintaining accurate records and tracking metrics related to regulatory compliance.
  • Investigating and resolving compliance issues or violations.
  • Providing guidance and support to company personnel on compliance-related matters.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in relevant laws and regulations and updating company policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Supporting the Compliance Manager and wider compliance team as required.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar compliance role.
  • A recognized compliance related qualification would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of the Cayman Islands legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to interpret laws and regulations and develop policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
