Job Description

We are looking to recruit an experienced Deputy Head of Risk and Compliance to join an established team at a reputable organization in the Cayman Islands. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, this person will be responsible for the implementation of the organization’s compliance framework. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, proactive, and reliable person that can hit the ground running.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement and oversee the anti-money laundering and broader compliance function.
• Advise on compliance and general governance matters, liaising with regulators often.
• Monitor all relevant regulatory developments and advise management on best practice.
• Implement and oversee new and existing compliance requirements such as regulatory filings and client due diligence.
• Assist with refreshing policies and providing compliance training to colleagues.
• Assist the Head of Risk and Compliance with managing the wider compliance team.

Required:

• Undergraduate degree in legal, compliance or business.
• Recent Big 4 experience working as a senior associate or manager.  
• A compliance or accounting qualification is preferred but not essential.
• Regulatory experience in a related field, working on cross border projects is an asset.
• Experience working with software such as ViewPoint is desired.
• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• A confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A self-starter with a strong worth ethic who can use their initiative & work independently.
• A responsible and reliable person with a collaborative approach.
