Grand Cayman | Full-Time, Onsite

Baraud is recruiting on behalf of a growing, multi-entity commercial and residential services group in Grand Cayman. They are seeking a candidate to join their Finance team as a Financial Controller.

This role is critical to the success of the Finance function, supporting multiple business entities and operations. Reporting to the Group CFO, the Financial Controller will assist with the management and development of the Finance team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the deputy to the Group CFO, providing strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team on financial planning, growth, and long-term strategy.
  • Drive efficiency by streamlining workflows, automating processes, and eliminating duplicated efforts while promoting knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Analyze financial metrics, reports, and dashboards to support timely and informed business decisions.
  • Strengthen treasury management and ensure accurate, on-time reporting of key performance indicators.
  • Anticipate reporting needs and implement processes to meet critical deadlines.
  • Partner with the executive team to support strategic initiatives and business planning.
  • Ensure accurate, timely financial records across all accounting systems.
  • Lead day-to-day Finance operations, allocating work efficiently and effectively.
  • Mentor and develop Finance team members, fostering growth and professional development.
  • Implement structured training plans with clear, measurable (SMART) objectives to elevate team performance.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

? Minimum of 10 years’ experience in similar roles or financial services companies.

? Recognized and current accounting designation (CPA, ACCA, CA).

? Minimum of 5 years’ experience with QuickBooks and Sage Intacct.

? Experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry is advantageous.

? Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).

? Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

? Strong ethical judgment and ability to handle sensitive financial information responsibly.

? Strong decision-making skills, particularly when deputizing for the CFO.

? Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor when engaging with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.
