Job Description

This position reports to the Regional Financial Controller and involves assisting in the development of other team members. The successful candidate for this position will be a self-starter who is able to demonstrate the following key characteristics to obtain the position:

  • Provide a high standard of customer service to all stakeholders, both external and internal
  • Possess the ability to communicate at a high level, both written and verbally, with all levels
  • Ability to problem solve on a daily basis

Job Duties in Brief:

  • All aspects of financial control and reporting for the relevant entities to comply with all internal and external requirements
  • Manage a team locally and work with teams globally to coordinate the monthly process
  • Effectively manage the monthly closing process and preparation of reconciliations to the trial balance
  • Responsibility for the preparation and payment of multiple payroll registers
  • Overall responsibility for deferred and accrued income, including detailed reconciliations to be reviewed by Regional Financial Controller or Divisional Controller
  • Providing analysis to management on the accounts receivable position and liaising with account managers on outstanding balances to ensure targets are met
  • Preparation of the annual financial report and liaising with external auditors ensuring audits are handled effectively
  • Drafting of the annual budget and preparation of monthly reporting and budget analysis
  • Effectively manage the working capital of the entities the position is responsible for
  • Ability to work overtime to meet deadlines
  • Other tasks that may be directed by management from time to time and are all subject to change


About You:

  • Professional Accounting designation, eg CA, ACCA, CPA etc with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management / Accounting / Finance or Economics
  • Ability to demonstrate substantial experience as a financial controller role in a multi-jurisdictional company providing detailed management reports for senior management
  • Experience in external audit, preparing and reviewing financial statements under IFRS ideally
  • Demonstrated experience managing a team as part of a financial controller role
  • Experience with Oracle EBS would be a distinct advantage
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel, especially pivot tables dealing with large volumes of data
