Job Description
We are actively seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to join a well-established and highly reputable firm here in the Cayman Islands. This role requires an individual with previous secretarial experience who can hit the ground running. If you have excellent organizational skills and thrive in a fast paced and collaborative work environment, then this role could be perfect for you!
Responsibilities:
- Drafting of legal documents, preparing presentations, and undertaking research.
- Opening client files and ensuring all are filed away correctly and closed out properly.
- Maintaining records and client databases, ensuring all are kept orderly & up to date.
- Processing expenses, managing time recording, compliance, and new business intake.
- Supporting attorneys with day-to-day organizational tasks such as diary management, scheduling meetings and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Assist in research projects to support business development, including conference and market research as well as competitor analysis.
- Effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, and attorneys across the business.
- Assist the wider legal team with relevant ad hoc duties as required.
- Maintain expert knowledge of the firm’s processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience within a similar role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage a large and varied workload.
- A team player who is collaborative, reliable, flexible, resilient, and approachable.
- Proven ability to be discreet and treat confidential information appropriately.
- A proactive, hardworking, and diligent person with high attention to detail.
- A professional with excellent time management skills possessing the ability to work to strict deadlines.
