Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a client for a Senior Human Resources professional to lead and direct the organisations Human Resources functions. This roles combines strategic influence with hands-on leadership, partnering closely with executive management while overseeing day-to-day HR operations.

The successful candidate will manage a small HR team and play a pivotal role in driving organisational culture, strengthening employee engagement, and ensuring HR practices support both compliance and business growth.

The Role

This position covers the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, employee relations, learning and development, and policy compliance. Key aspects include:

  • Acting as a strategic partner to senior leadership on workforce planning, talent strategy, and succession planning.
  • Advising and supporting managers on complex HR matters, including employee relations, grievances, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Leading recruitment and selection processes, ensuring effective onboarding and integration of new employees.
  • Guiding performance review cycles, coaching managers on goal setting, and supporting development discussions.
  • Providing insight and recommendations on compensation and benefits, informed by market research and benchmarking.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and internal policies, monitoring regulatory changes, and implementing updates as needed.
  • Managing immigration-related matters, overseeing payroll administration, and maintaining accurate employee records in the HR system.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Extensive HR experience, including several years in a senior or leadership role.
  • Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Cayman Islands employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience managing employee relations, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.
  • Skilled in advising and coaching leaders on performance management, workforce planning, and people strategy.
  • Experience using HR data and metrics to inform decision-making.Familiarity with HR information systems and payroll processes.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organised, professional, and capable of handling confidential matters.
  • Experience in hospitality or the service sector is advantageous.
