Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Trust Officer to join an established organization in the Cayman Islands.  Reporting to a Trust Manager, you will assist with providing administrative support to a large portfolio of clients. This role is one of accountability as you will be committed to act on behalf of the trustee. It is best suited to an experienced, responsible & reliable person who has a solid background in managing private client trusts as well as a working knowledge of corporate and trust laws.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to a large and varied portfolio of clients, including drafting documents, reviewing statements, and preparing portfolio performance reviews.
  • Coordinate relevant reviews for new business ensuring all information is accurate & up to date.
  • Oversee and manage client trust life cycles as well as company structures.
  • Assist with the collection of accounts receivable, maintenance of statutory records and the upkeep of administration data, statutory filings, and payments.
  • Assist with the development and upkeep of tracking spreadsheets to aid reporting.
  • Coordinate and collect relevant customer documents and oversee client onboarding.
  • Liaise with internal departments, clients, brokers, accountants, and directors.
  • Network with relevant legal and financial institutions and professionals.
  • Keep abreast of any changes to corporate and trust laws.

Required:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong working knowledge of local and international corporate and trust laws.
  • Ability to adhere to tight deadlines whilst maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Experience with Viewpoint as well as AEOI knowledge is desirable.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills.
  • Ability to carry out accurate and efficient minute taking.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Suite.
