Senior Legal Executive Assistant– Dispute Resolution
An exciting, new opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Legal Executive/Secretary to join a busy Dispute Resolution team within a top tier, fast-paced offshore law firm in their Bermuda office. This Legal Executive opportunity is to predominantly support the Equity Partner of the firm and possibly three other fee earners from time to time. The successful candidate must be proactive, professional, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
This role would suit someone who thrives in a high-performance environment, is ambitious, and looking to move their career to Bermuda and grow within a reputable legal practice.
Responsibilities:
- Providing high-level legal assistant support to an Equity Partner and a small team of fee earners.
- Managing complex diaries, coordinating meetings, arranging travel and managing billings and accounts receivables.
- Drafting, formatting, and proofreading correspondence and legal documents with exceptional attention to detail.
- Maintaining document management and client filing systems.
- Proactively prioritising workloads and making the administrative side of this Dispute Resolution team be as seamless and efficient as possible.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ legal assistant or secretarial experience, within a prestigious law firm and ideally within another dispute resolution department but those from a corporate background will also be considered. Experience must have been gained in the UK, Australia, New Zealand or Canada.
- Experience supporting a Partner or Senior Counsel is absolutely essential.
- You must be confident, self-motivated and demonstrate a strong initiative.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong organisational and diary management skills are also imperative to this role.
- Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential matters.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and perform under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
