Corporate Associate (Banking and Finance), Cayman Islands

An exiting new role within a top tier offshore law firm for a talented Banking and Finance Associate to join this award-winning team in the Cayman Islands. To be considered for this role you must have a strong Banking and Finance background and sit within 3 to 5 years post qualification experience, having qualified in a recognised commonwealth jurisdiction.

In this role you will be working with some of the very best offshore Banking and Finance Partners with global recognitions.

 

Role

  • As an Associate within the Banking and Finance department, you will provide fee earning support to Partners and senior attorneys within the team. The team consists of team of 3 Partners and 9 fee earners in total.
  • Your caseload will be varied and will include a broad range of banking and finance matters including complex cross-border financing transactions such as the administration of asset finance vehicles, public and private debt issuers and securitisation vehicles.
  • You will work with a broad range of clients including banks and various financial institutions.
  • This department is expanding yet remains to be a really collegiate department that is predicted to have an incredibly successful 2025 making this a standout role in the corporate offshore market.

 

Requirements:

  • You must sit within 3-5 years post qualification experience with strong Banking and Finance experience gained within a top tier law firm within a reputable territory.
  • A strong academic career to date is also essential, (2.1 and above in LLB and commendation in LPC/PPC).
  • You will have broad Banking and Finance exposure to date. Ideally you will have experience in fund, leveraged and structures finance matters. Ideally you will have some exposure to cross-border financing transactions.
  • Individuals from onshore backgrounds will be happily considered, provided you have a clear desire to build a long-term offshore career in Grand Cayman.
