Job Description
Litigation Associate (2–8 PQE) – Cayman Islands
A truly exciting opportunity has arisen to join a modern, boutique law firm in the Cayman Islands specialising in complex commercial litigation and insolvency matters. With a strong pipeline of high-quality work, the client base you will be exposed to is second to none and would typically be associated with leading, long-standing offshore firms. The practice offers top-tier work in a focused, entrepreneurial, collaborative environment and forward-thinking environment.
Why does this role stand out in the current legal market?
This is an opportunity for you as a Litigation Associate to be exposed to top-tier offshore work and clients, without the constraints of a large institutional platform.
This is high quality environment that rewards excellence. With plans to grow this year, it is a very exciting time to be joining this all-equity partnership firm.
The Opportunity
The firm is looking to recruit a Litigation Associate at 2–8 years' PQE to support its growing practice. This is an exceptional opportunity for ambitious lawyers seeking high-calibre work, early responsibility and direct exposure to market-leading practitioners and clients.
The successful candidates will work on a broad range of complex matters, including financial services disputes, fund litigation, contentious and non-contentious restructurings and cross-border commercial disputes.
The Ideal Candidate
Candidates will have:
- Between 2 to 8 years' post-qualification experience (from a recognised commonwealth jurisdiction) in commercial litigation, restructuring and/or insolvency.
- Experience gained at a leading offshore, international or top-tier domestic law firm.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and an enthusiasm for AI and technology.
The firm is seeking bright, motivated individuals who take their work seriously, but not themselves as the fit for the office is particularly important being a boutique law firm. Successful candidates will be intellectually curious, commercially minded and keen to contribute to a close-knit, high-performing team.
This role would suit ambitious associates looking to work on market-leading offshore disputes while enjoying greater autonomy, meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to be part of the growth story of a premier Cayman Islands litigation boutique.
Applications will be treated with the strictest confidence.
